My name is Rita Horomona, my Mum was Edna Rivers/Ahmu daughter of Peleise Schwenke, daughter of Charles Schwenke, son of Julius Schwenke.I have read cousin Karl Schwenke's research paper on our common ancestor Julius Schwenke and was wondering if anyone has documented proof that Julius, Oscar & Asher were the sons of Karl Schwenke the composer, who was the son of Christian Schwenke another well known german composer. Has anyone found out if they travelled from Germany alone or with kinsfolk, and if they did were they met by family in New York.According to cousin Karl, there was no mention of parents travelling with them, and Karl Schwenke the composer died in Austria anyways. Also no mention that these 3 boys had any musical talent that might connect them to the musical background. Would love to hear from anyone that has extra info on this.
