Mr Ludecke gave the bride away and the best man was Mr Abrahams. Miss Hila Wardrop was chief bridesmaid and the small bridesmaids were Esme Ludecke and Mina Ludecke (of Christchurch). The bride was charmingly attired in cream taffeta with cream silk trimmings, made tunic style and the usual veil and orange blossoms and she carried a beautiful bouquet of Christmas lillies and asparagus fern. Miss Wardrop was becomingly attired in cream voile trimmed with silk and silk insertion. The little bridesmaids wore pretty little dresses of white embroidered muslin, with lace bonnets to match.
After the ceremony a sumptuous wedding breakfast was partaken of. The Rev Mr Gardner proposed the healths of the bride and bridegroom in a very happy speech, wishing them a long and happy existence together. Then a photograph of the whole party was taken on the lawn.
Mr and Mrs Miller left for Napier by the express, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was grey tweed with hat to match.
