MARGARET STEELE McLEOD HOGWOOD died in Auckland 5 May 1934
8 May 1934 The funeral was held at the Parua bay Cemetery yesterday afternoon of Mrs Margaret Steele McLeod Hogwood, who died at a private hospital in Auckland on Saturday. Prior to her marriage, Mrs Hogwood lived at Mangonui, where her father was American Consul, and also carried on farming operations. After her marriage she went to Auckland and lived in East Tamaki for some time. Afer her husband's death Mrs Hogwood moved to Onerahi, where she resided for about 15 years. She is survived by four daughters and one son.

OBITUARY of LOUISA FAIRBURN nee CONEY
AUCKLAND STAR 11 Feb 1921
... At the ripe age of 85 years there passed away on Tuesday last, a lady who has watched the growth of Auckland since the days of its youth. Arriving in 1845 with her parents, Mr and Mrs James Coney of London, she was married in 1851 to Mr Richard A. Fairburn, surveyor, who predeceased her 23 years ago. A lady of bright personality, Mrs Fairburn retained all her faculties to the last. Mrs Fairburn leaves a family of four sons, four daughters, thirteen grand-children and fourteen great-grandchildren (Louisa was buried in Otahuhu cemetery)
