Foxton Flax Stripper Museum

Foxton Historical Society Museum

Marton Historical Village
The Marton Historical Vilage is a museum featuring curios dating back to the Victorian-Edwardian eras and up to the 1940s. An important feature is the archives which covers the lifetime of South Rangitikei. More than 20,000 filed newspaper clippings from the 1850's onwards, documents, newspaper files from 1907, photographs, maps, over 400 pioneer family files, plus histories of schools, churches, sports, and districts surrounding Marton are held.

Massey University Art Collection
The University Art Collection is displayed throughout public spaces on the Turitea Campus. The Collection focuses on contemporary New Zealand artists, in particular artists working in the Lower North Island. In recent years the collection has been strengthened by the acquisition of contemporary M?ori work and greater emphasis on landscapes and figurative work.

Wanganui Collegiate School Museum
The Wanganui Collegiate School was founded in 1854 and has over 156 years of colourful history, much of which is preserved in this Museum for the enjoyment of the community. The collection consists of papers, plans, documents, trophies, minute books, memorabilia, uniforms, programmes photos and DVDs of drama and musical productions, sporting records, Old Boys' war records, newspaper clippings and many wonderful photographs.

Whanganui Regional Museum
The Whanganui Regional Museum founded in 1892, has extensive collections of natural and human history with a regional emphasis. It houses objects of national and international significance.

Whanganui Riverboat Centre Museum
The Whanganui Riverboat Centre/Museum is home to Paddle Steamer Waimarie, New Zealand's only steam powered 100 year old paddle steamer.
