NORTHERN RESIDENT'S DEATH. 138 LIVING DESCENDANTS. (By Telegraph.?Own Correspondent.! DARGAVILLE, Thursday.

LIVED OVER A CENTURY
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post")
AUCKLAND, This Day. A Dargaville message states that the death took place at the residence of her son, Joe Tito (of Tangiteroria), yesterday morning, of Kere Tito, one of the; bestknown residents on the river. The deceased whose father was the boatbuilder, Robert M'Kenzie, who landed at Russell nearly 120 years ago, was born on 21st March, 1821, at Waiteraata, where the Family still owns land purchased by the father. She' was therefore 105 years old. she had lived at Tangiteroria for over fifty years, and was quite active and retained all her faculties to the last. Her husband died some years ago. There are 138 living descendants. Her eldest son is 75 years of age.

It's been a while since I have looked at this site. I was doing research on behalf of one of Makereata' great grandchildren. One avenue of enquiry is his grandfather Pita Edmonds line...I do have information pertaining to that. Unfortunately you are late by two weeks, I have just deleted electronic records on my site Tito and Edmonds. But I do have hardcopy notes
