Harry Edward DAVIS married Mary Ann ALLEN, Aston, Warwickshire, 1897, Q3 6D 413

Harry Edward DAVIS died 1933 Birmingham, Warwickshire, Q3 6D 3 aged 73

Cannot find a marriage in 1881 but Mary Ann was certainly too young to be the mother of Lilly Mary so I guess his first "wife" died, or maybe this is not your man

I found this 1891 Census looks like the right family recorded as Dawes images reads Davies

Hi
I would be interested in exchanging information on this family as it is my wife's Paternal relatives.
I concur with info asheperd has and I have the following:
It seems that Harry Edward DAVIS married 3 times:

Mary Minnie DAY married 1881, mother of Harry and John Percy
Martha Eliza Dymoke married 1887, mother of Florence, Mary and Lilly
Mary Ann ALLEN married 1897, mother of Harold Cecil and Ivan Edward.

Harry Edward Davis 51 (b.1860 Bham) Mary Ann 31 Lilly Mary 20 Harold Cecil 13 Ivan Edward 11 @ 2B 43 Vicarage Rd Aston Birmingham 1911 census.

Harry Edward Davis 41 (b.1860 Bham metallic bird cage maker) Mary Ann 22 John P 16 Florence 13 Mary 12 Harold Cecil 3 Ivan Edward 10m @ 26 Gladstone St, Aston Manor, Birmingham 1901 census.

Harry Davis (Dawes) 31 Jeweller (b.1860 B'ham) Martha E 22 Harry E 6, John P 6, Florence 3 Mary M 2, Lily M 7m @ 22 Wheeler St Aston B'ham 1891 census.

Harry Davis 21 (b.1860 B'ham Tin plate worker) Minnie 19 @ 8 Carlyle Terrace Aston Rd Aston B'ham 1881 census.

My wife's family are descendants of John Percy DAVIS born 1884.

Does anyone have any information on Harry Edward DAVIS prior to 1881?

Do you have his parents names? they should be listed on his marriage certificates, would help narrow him down prior to 1881

I haven't gone back that far yet with this line of the family, as I doing several other lines.
What is your link with this family?

No relation.

I noticed on his marriage to Mary Minnie he is listed as Henry Edward Davis

Marriages Mar 1881
DAVIS Henry Edward Aston 6d 240
DAY Mary Minnie Aston 6d 240

and Harry Edward Davies to Martha

Marriages Dec 1887
DAVIES Harry Edward Aston 6d 408
Dymoke Martha Eliza Aston 6d 408

and Harry Edward Davis to Mary

Marriages Sep 1897
Allen Mary Ann Aston 6d 413
Davis Harry Edward Aston 6d 413

Interesting to note that his daughter b1889 to Mary Ann was named Mary Minnie??

You will need to get some copies of certificates just to be sure this is the same Harry Edward Davis as there are a few Harry & Henry Davis' in Warwickshire

I just found this 1871 Census and if you look at the other people on the 1881 Census with Harry & Minnie the same names are listed. Emma Philips could possibly be Emma Davis who has remarried.
