John Judd born 1802 Essex

I know all my Judd ancestors and their siblings back to John Judd b 1802. In censuses he said he was born in Epping but this is probably not correct. His wife Elizabeth Wood b 1804 was definitely born there. Not knowing exactly where John Judd was born has blocked my search. Can anyone help?

? You don't say what you have actually done so far?
Have you had birth year and area from census returns? If not, I would try every census - (you may be lucky and find a parent on one of them,) bearing in mind that John's age will have been rounded down to the nearest 5 years in 1841.
Also, have you tried familysearch.org which is free, or findmypast?? You can get pay as you go credits for fmp for little cost, though of course it is the more expensive method in the long run.
I think I would search on those first, then on Freecen.org.uk to try and identify the correct John Judd without charge, providing the counties you need have been transcribed,so DO check coverage first. You can then view on fmp if the other sites haven't give you what you need.
There is possible JJ born in Thanet,(Kent) on familysearch. If you are not familiar with UK geography have a look at Genuki to help you, and you might find local registers transcribed that way too, but the difficullty is being sure you have the correct individual.
