JAMES was born in REDFIELD, OSWEGO, NEW YORK U.S.A. and family lived in Canada before coming to the states. Some family returned to Canada. His father and mother were, JOHN BOWLER, who immigrated from England in 1890. James's mother is, MARY E. BOWLER, birth place, Canada. In a census I found that my great grand parents had four children, JOHN N. 17yrs. of age, born in Canada, JAMES R. 15yrs. of age, born in REDFIELD, OSWEGO, NEW YORK, GEORGE E. 13yrs., born in NEW YORK, and FLOSSIE M. age4yrs., born in Canada. At the time of this census, my great grandmother, MARY E. was 40 years of age, while my great grandfather, JOHN was 42 years of age. I have observes by research that it appears JOHN immigrated from ENGLAND in 1890, where to, I do not know. My grandfather, JAMES RIZON BOWLER married an EDITH PEARL LOVELAND, who also was born in REDFIElD, OSWEGO, NEW YORK. EDITH'S father was NELSON LOVELAND, married to LOUISA CARR, who was from Canada. LOUISA already had a daughter, named FLORENCE. before her marriage. They would have go on to have four daughters and one son, FRANCES M. 9 yrs., b1901,N.Y, GERTRUDE I. 6yrs. b1904,N.Y, EDITH P. 4yrs. b1906,N.Y., GENEVIEVE M. 2yrs. b1908,N.Y., and then baby HARLEY J. JAMES AND EDITH BOWLER had seven children, MARJORIE, KENNETH, JOAN, NORMAN, BERNICE, ROBERT, and SHIRLEY. My father is NORMAN BOWLER, and I am KAREN ( GAIL ) BOWLER. My mother's name is MABLE GRACE BOWLER. I have six brothers and one sister, I am the oldest and have tried to find out my family line, where did my family originate from, what were they like, what life was like for them. I have scribbled down through out my life, about my family of now, but know nothing of the family from the past. My writing started when I was sixteen, but never had the faith in my self to take it further. I keep it in boxes and boxes of writings, a treasure to me and one day a treasure for someone searching about the family they never knew. There will be stories that will take their minds into the everyday life and experiences of my Bowler family and Nichols family that usually are not documented. I have a obsession with pen and ink and the feel for paper, and I never tire of it. The key board of my computer sings the tapping memories as it sometimes replaces the pen, ink, and paper. I cannot abandoned my first true love of ink and paper, and sometimes I believe that I do not have blood running through my veins, but that of ink. I shall leave this for anyone to view and share any information they may have for me, or information I might have for them.
