have you looked at the (old) postings on maori.org.nz
There are people there researching the same families and you could try and contact some of them
thanks for the information.. i would like to know more information to where they lived and when and where she was born..
Mildred Waterford Wade was my grandmothers name. She was born in New Zealand and later went to Fiji. She married William Robinson and they had one son William Ernest Clarence Robinson. During ww2 they came to live in Sydney. She was very secretive about her past but I believe my grandfather was a fairly successful business man in Fiji. He died before I was born. She died in 1973 aged 89. Her birthday was August 27.
I am very intrigued because it seems amazing that two women of with the same name and age were born in N.Z. And later moved to Fiji.
John Charles Waterford Wade is my Great Great Great grandfather. His son William Wade is my Great Great grandfather. William and your Great Great grandfather John ( named after his father) are brothers so you and I are related. Your Great Great grandfather John had two other brothers and two sisters. 6 siblings in total. John was born in 1874 in Manukau (Auckland) and died in Waikato hospital in 1922 and is buried at Rangiriri. He was a farmer.
