~ researching Henry's relationship with this family...
* Henry Yates was born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England, a son of John & Jane Yates who emigrated into Nelson on the Martha Ridgway of 1842 and later settled in Masterton
* Henry Yates was a grocer in Molesworth street Wellington
* He married Agnes Bell HAIGH on 11 March 1856. They had 7 children from 1857-1870, then Agnes gave birth to twin boys in Wellington on 14 Jan 1872, 4 days prior to Henry's death in Masterton.

* Henry's probate was in Wellington
* The site (at photo below) has Henry buried in plot 5402 with the Quick family BUT the Bolton street database has him buried in plot 5403 as does the Friends of Bolton Street Memorial Park.
I believe it was simply a transcription error
* Henry Yates was disinterred and is now with wife Agnes in Masterton. Agnes died 7 Nov 1920 in Masterton aged 80 and was buried in plot 3, area III at Archer street with her father-in-law John Yates (1808-1880) and daughter Elizabeth (1859-1885)
