Our Giles family in Australia goes back to Peter Samuel Giles and Sarah Harvey who came to Australia in the 1850s. Peter was born in Bristol 1828, Sarah came from Fowey Cornwall.
Peters parents were James Giles and Mary Thomas, that's as far back as we know. It has been handed down that we are related to Ernest Giles (Aus explorer), we think his father William and our James were brothers.
