looking for Bird of Australia and New Zealand
Hi all,
I am looking for possible descendants of 2 brothers.
One of them was Charles Grey Bird (1831 - 1918), the other James Pidding Bird (1833 - 1917).
Both were born in England, probably in Hampshire or the vicinity of London.
Around 1852 they travelled with their father, Henry Bird, to Australia.
The father returned to England about a decade later. C.G. Bird remained in Melbourne, J.P. Bird continued his travelling to New Zealand. Both died in these countries.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You can mail me at hans_renette at hotmail dot com
Kind regards,
Hans

I have not located any children for Charles and Anastasia to date.
The name James Pidding BIRD does not come up in the New Zealand marriage records, and the name does not come up in the birth records for any children. If James married and had children in New Zealand his second given name of Pidding was not recorded, but it was for his death.
