Tracing the Black Family History

I am tracing the family history and have gone way back with the Barton side but keep hitting problems with the Black side.
Herbert Norman Roy Black was my mothers dad.
Alfred Herbert Thomas Black 1875-1958 Mums grandfather
William Alexander Black 1843-1927 Mums great grandfather
Thomas Black born c 1825 and died approx 1864 in Victoria, Australia
Having trouble getting any further detail on him. Where he was born etc. Married I believe Sarah Jane ????

DEATH.
Name: Thomas BLACK.
Died: 1864 Victoria.
Age: 39 years.
Parents: Not recorded.
Ref: VDI #7376.
This Thomas was born circa 1825 and I expect it may be the Thomas you seek.
If this is your Thomas I can tell you there is no marriage record for him in Victoria, and there are no children recorded for a Thomas BLACK and Sarah Jane in the Victorian records.
He may have married and had children before he came to Australia.

I know of one child born here in Australia. I have the marriage certificate for that child that states his father is Thomas Black and mother Sarah Jane but no maiden name known.
William Alexander Black was born in Swanpool on 25 April 1843. Do not know if he had any brothers or sisters as cannot locate Birth Certificate.
