This is one of my great grandfathers. He married PHOEBE ANN DERRICK As it is a common name I have not been able to pin him down. I think he was born about 1852 - maybe in the UK.

DEATH.

Name: Phoebe Ann THOMPSON.
Died: 1898 Kensington Hill, Victoria.
Age: 36 years.
Parents named as David DERRICK and Alice NUTTMAN.
Ref: Registry of Deaths, Victoria. Reg #2949.

BIRTH.

Name: Phoebe Ann DERRICK.
Born: 1861 Stanley, Victoria.
Parents named as David DERRICK and Alice NUTMAN.
Ref: Registry of Births, Victoria. Reg #23266.

Robert gave his birth place as Beechworth but I have not found a birth for him. Robert THOMPSON was indeed a very common name and parents names would help with record searches. Robert's marriage certificate would include more details regarding parents names.

Not a problem Coral.

When someone makes a comment to a journal they will be automatically notified by email. For this reason members should remember to keep their email address updated in their profile when they change their email address, otherwise they will not be notified when someone makes a comment to their posting.

This may explain why so many comments to journals go unanswered for long periods.

This is something for all members to remember.

Cheers.
