Robert Mann was my great-grandfather. He was born July 20,1857 in Lanark, Ontario. I am a descendent from Robert's son Arthur (my grandfather) who lived in Duncan, B.C. Are you a descendent of Alex and then Delisle who was my Dad's cousin?

My grandfather was Alexander Devereux Mann (Alex), born June 1, 1884 in Peterborough, and died August 9, 1952 in Palo Alto, California. My father was Robert Alexander Delisle Mann, born January 5, 1905 in Peterborough and died February 5, 1965 in San Francisco, CA. I've been trying to get information on my dad's family, but have been unsuccessful. I'm hoping we are related!

I do have more Mann information as Alexander Devereux Mann's siblings settled in British Columbia and I knew them all when I was younger.

My dad was the only child of Alex and his first wife, and I was also an only child, born February 17, 1945 in San Francisco. My mother was Dorothy Lillian (Olsson) Mann.
