This is what I have so far: CLARA-JANE2 REMNANT (Charles1) was born on 21 Mar 1865 in ReedBeds, SA. She died on 08 Jan 1937 in Goodwood, SA. She married (1) THOMAS COAT, son of John Coats and Elizabeth Ann Richard, on 22 May 1884 in Flinders St. Baptist Church, SA. He was born on 08 Apr 1857 in Upper Sturt S.A.. He died on 06 Aug 1937 in Goodwood, SA. She married an unknown spouse on 22 May 1884 in Adelaide SA.

Hi not sure if this helps but a family of Coats Coates were squires of a small village called Stanton Drew Somerset UK. The direct line failed in 1943. The details of Coates who's grave stones survive can be found at www.gravestonephotos.com. They were a large family and owned Stanton Court.
