Looking for William O 'Hara Walsh New South Wales or Victoria

Hi I have been searching for William for quite a long time with no result, he supposedly arrived in Australia in 1857 aboard the Commodore Perry with a couple of sisters, there is a possibility a brother may have travelled with them as well. I do have a fair amount of his history in New South Wales but cannot find a record of his death. Any information concerning William or his family would be appreciated.

The "Commodore Perry" landed in Victoria in September 1857. There were 640 names recorded on the passenger list ... but none by the name of OHARA.
Happy to search the Victorian Deaths for Henry but will need a birth year to work with. Parents names and the year Henry was last known to be alive in N.S.W. would also help.

From the passenger list for the "Commodore Perry" for September 1857 we have:
William WALSH - aged 25 years.
Thomas WALSH - aged 37 years.
Elly WALSH - aged 17 years.

Cazlily on 2014-02-03 01:22:44Thank you Tonkin for your response, William O'Hara Walsh was born in Dublin about 1834, I do not know his parents names, he married Mary Ann Wheatley at Tipperary Gully near Young N.S.W. In 1871. They had a couple of children before they married the first Henry was born around the year 1861. I am afraid this is a little vague I have only recently found out about the existence of Henry. I was under the impression that the first child was William born 1864.

The only marriage I can find for William WALSH in 1871 was to Mary Ann WEDDELEY.
Was this a second marriage for Mary Ann?
Cazlily on 2014-02-03 21:26:31Hi Tonkin, I am not aware of a previous marriage for Mary Ann,the name Weddeley on the marriage certificate should have been Wheatley apparently it was very hard to read.

Sorry, I'm a bit late joining in on this conversation but the marriage to Mary Ann Weddeley in 1871 is the right one and the only one we're aware of. Mary Ann's surname is actually Wheatley but misspelt on the marriage record. If you can find any more details of William, particularly his death we would be very appreciative. We know that William was convicted for sheep-stealing in Grenfell, I think in 1884 and did time in Goulburn/Berrima gaol. Family stories say that William travelled from Grenfell or Young, probably around the mid 1890's to visit his sister in Melbourne and he died of pneumonia on the way or while visiting. A few of us have searched the Vic and NSW death records and found no matching record. Many thanks if you can find any relevant details. Steve Walsh

The party food is a little cold but we can always warm it up.
From memory I never found William's death because we had no parents names to work with at the time, and if he served time under the government stroke he may have changed his name, as many did.
So the family story goes ... he may have died on the way or while visiting his sister in Melbourne in the mid 1890's.
Need name of William's sister and marriage details to work out if she was in Melbourne around this time.
