Kia Ora SCB,
Herbert William BRABANT (1838-1919)
- was born in Mayfair, London
- 8th of 9 children of William Hughes BRABANT & Emillia STAINFORTH
- He arrived in NZ in 1859 on the "Joseph Fletcher"
- He was a Judge of the Native Land Court

Herbert married Rosetta JOHNSTON (1847-1911) in 1868
- Rosetta was born in Raglan
- a daughter of William JOHNSTON & Mereama Te RAPOPO
