Thank you so much for this. Jenefer is my great Grand mother, she came to Australia when she was 3 years old. So you have taken this back another generation for me and added 2 more family groups (Stephens and Crouch). So one again thanks for your help.

I am also a direct descendant of Joseph and Mary. My line is through their son John who was born about 1840 in St Austel. The family sailed to South Australia on the "Sir Thomas Gresham" arriving on 19-8-1854 in Adelaide.
My name is Malcolm Roberts, born 8-12-1940.
Hi Malcolm, nice to hear from another descendant of Joseph and Mary. Do you live in South Australia?
Regards
John Rogers.
Hi John
Yes, I was born in South Australia and have lived here all my life.
My wife and I are going to Cornwall in September to see what we can find in the churches of St. Austel and Camborne where my ancestors were active.
Regards....... Malcolm Roberts
Hi Malcolm,
I live in Port Noarlunga. I have been to England many times, have been to St Austel once and it was a lot bigger than I expected. As I was there with some other people never got to visit the church there. I have never been to Camborne, so I hope you can get more information on the family. I hope the information the 2 people above have given have helped you.
Regards
John Rogers
Have now returned from Cornwall where I visited the churches in both St.Austel and Camborne. Both churches are still operative and have the original fonts in use that were used for our ancestor's Christening. Unfortunately, all the records are held in Truro which did not allow me time follow things further. Checked the cemeteries for any information, but the tombstones only dated back to the early 1800's. I would assume only the very well off could have afforded a formal gravesite.
Special feeling to stand in the churches were our family had been so many years ago.
