The Kempton Family changed their name from Campton to Kempton on numerous occasions over the generations. William Campton from Derryloughan ,born in November 1818 to John Campton and Catherine Dobbin. William married Jane Traynor or Trainer in Glasgow on the 24th November 1855. William's Brother John was born in 1811 and married Alice Wade or Hair in Ireland. Both brothers came to Wigtownshire in 1834 .
