I am researching my ancestors in South Africa and recently came across the death certificate of Mary YOUNG, which showed her place of birth being St Helena in estimate of 1845.

On this death cert it notes her as European, and place of residency being 28 Upper Kloof Street, Higgovale / Gardens, 8001, Cape Town, South Africa. Unfortunately this is the only information I do know of her.



I have been told by family members her children with George Edward Bailey are:-

1) George Richard BAILEY - born Cape Town, South Africa, Died, Walcha, Australia. He married in 1910 to Bessie Louisa KING

2) Elsie BAILEY - born Cape Town ?, Died, ?. married a Mr Brooks, Australia

3) Madge Bailey - ? - No further details.

It is believed Both George and Elsie moved to Australia as there father bought them both a one way ticket from South Africa to Australia in 1900-1905 date range.

I am eager to find any information on any Baileys from Cape Town, South Africa.
