Looking for ASHBY and SPILLMAN from Indiana.

My paternal grandmother Margaret ASHBY was raised in an orphanage along with her sister in Knightstown, Indiana. I recently discovered her parents' names in the Quaker minutes now archived with Ancestory.com. They were Jeff and Dora ASHBY. My search has now stalled because I don't feel I can spend the dues for Ancestory. I'm wondering if I can access records another way.
I have limited information about Margaret up until she married my grandfather David Henry SPILLMAN. After Grandpa retired as janitor at Centerville High School in Centerville, IN, they came to Florida to live near us. When they died, they were both buried in Florida.

My great-grandfather is a bit of a puzzle, too. O.C.SPILLMAN (6 Aug 1855- ??) He is listed in the 1935 census as living with my grandparents. However, he is not listed in the 1940 census. I've not been able to find his burial spot. I also don't know about his other son, Arthur SPILLMAN.
