Does anyone know this person?

Her name is Hattie RUGG and it appears that this picture was taken in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Scott Jangro is the owner of FamilyTreeCircles.com and has documented roots back to Mayflower passengers Stephen Hopkins and William Brewster. If you're wondering what he's doing when he's mysteriously absent, here's some links to other stuff he's responsible for: about.me/jangro.

Is there a date with this photo? My ggg grandmother was Harriet (Hattie) Rugg. Born in 1844,married Goerge M Hull 1872, died in 1893. If it's the same HATTIE I dont know.

Bernard La Marsh emigrated from Germany in 1854. He arrived in Kenosha Wisconsin in 1878 and set up a very large photography business employing many apprentices. So your photograph is after 1878.

I'm afraid this isn't the same Hattie Rugg. I also have a prayer card announcing her death on Nov 17th 1889, aged 49 years 10 months, 29 days, which has her born about December 19, 1839.

I added a scan of that to the post above.

Janilye, your comment tripped a spam filter, not your fault -- it had a common string of text that the spammers are always using. (ugg in all caps, promoting those shoes. Ironic that one of my surnames tripped that.)

Emilie, the following is from Jan...

Try contacting Frank and Michelle Laycock They may have some clues about what branch of the Rugg family she married into.
