Kia Ora I'm looking for info on Agnes Walker who married Henry Alley. Agnes is a daughter of Alexander Walker & Elizabeth Alexander of Lurencekirk, Scotland. Agnes was born 21.Dec.1831. She is a sister to my Great great grandfather George Walker. Both Agnes & George came to NZ 1855 on board the S.S. Agnes brothers & sisters were William Walker, Mary Walker, James Walker, George Walker and Elizabeth Walker.

Kia Ora Pita,
I found this in Papers Past - might be of some help to you.
MRS AGNES ALLEY.
A very old resident of the Thames Valley in the person of Mrs Agnes Alley, relict of the late Mr Henry Alley, died at Miss Lynch's residence, Pollen Street, this morning. Mrs Alley came to the Dominion from Scotland with an uncle some 52 years ago in the Shally Bar, and settled at Napier, where she married the late Mr Alley. Very shortly afterwards they came to the Thames Valley, where they took up land, and have been farming at Hikutaia for the last 46 years. They experienced all the hardships and privations of the early settlers. Mrs Alley, who was pre-deceased by her husband about five years ago-, was 86 years of age, and was very well known throughout the Auckland province as one of the earliest pioneers. Mr and Mrs Alley had a family of 9 boys and 3 daughters. Those living are Messrs Jack, Opotiki, Fred, Opotiki, Alf. and W., Hikutaia, Frank, Auckland, George, Te Aroa, Bert, who is now in training at Trentham, Mrs Jack Mitchelson, Dargaville, and Mrs Moore, Napier.
