Looking for my great great grandfathers family tree. My grandfather was Leslie clendening born in Esmond SD his father was Ross who had a brother Rollo born to a J. Clendening and a Pamela Spinny??? No one knows anything about these two. There's got to be a connection in some Clendening family tree connected to Illinois and canada somewhere? ???

Ross Clendening...burial 1935
Esmond, Kingsbury, South Dakota... birth 17 June 1866
buried Esmond Cemetery.
Do you live in Illinois or South Dakota? If so you can check out this cemetery
or even try the cemetery finding aid. Sometimes they give pictures of the tomb
stones and you can see the actual tomb stone.
There must be some war record or something that would confirm the parents names.
It would be interesting to know in Canada they were from.
Generally they have a write up in the local history books that are interesting.
