Chopsuey on 2017-04-11 15:56:18George Francis Morgan is buried at Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery after dying at the Melbourne Home and Hospital for the Aged at Cheltenham (now Kingston Hospital). John Joseph was his older brother. Parents names shown are incorrect. According to George's death certificate parents were John Joseph Morgan and Bridget Halliday. I am presently researching George for a military tour being conducted at Pioneer. George served with the 1st Australian Pioneer Battalion and was awarded the Military Medal for gallantry. His AIF record lists brother John Joseph of Jack's Creek as his contact. John Joseph married Ellen Nora O'Neill in 1913, but not sure if any of the other Jack River Morgans are related, probably not.
