Eagle was 327 ton 2 masted brig built in Scotland in 1854. Owened by Abbot & Co. of Padstow. Owner/Master was William Mably.

Gregory Mably born 1845 Cornwall occ AS was discharged from this ship in Padstow on the 24 Aug 1863.

He was already a seaman so I would think he enlisted as ship crew to get to Australia/New Zealand

Start looking for ships crew starting in august 1863.
You could also look at Assisted and Unassisted passenger lists.
