I am looking for people who are realated to Thomas de la Rue, Warren de la Rue or Sir Thomas Andros de la Rue. I am willing to share much information on the de la Rue's as I have many of them on my family tree. Here is a basic some up of the main de la Rue's. Thomas de la Rue (24 March 1793 – 7 June 1866) was a printer from Guernsey who founded De La Rue plc, a printing company which is now the world's largest commercial security printer and papermaker. Thomas de la Rue married Jane Warren(17 June 1789-22 September 1858) on 21 March 1816. Thomas and Jane had 7 children, 5 daugters and two sons. One of there sons was called Warren de la Rue(1815-1889) and the other son was called William Frederick de la Rue(1825-1870).

In 1858 Thomas retired from De La Rue handing over the management of the business to his sons William Frederick and Warren. Warren de la Rue took some of the first photo's of the moon. So he got a crater named after him, the "de la Rue" crater. The name "de la Rue" is french.

If anyone think or knows they are related to this line of the de la Rue's, please reply. Or if you have any questions about the de la Rue's. Or even if you wnat to know if you are related to this line please reply. Or if anyone has any additional information please let me know.
