James Bell Charteris was born 18 August 1876 in Westminster, London United Kingdom. His parents were David Charteris (1842 - 1907) and Mary Little Wright (1840 - 1916). James Bell Charteris was my great uncle. I was able to track him up to the 1901 census and he is mentioned as a creditor in a case in the Old Bailey Bankruptcy court around 1903 but beyond that I am unable to find any trace of him. There was speculation that he emigrated to Canada or the US but no evidence that I can find.

I would very much like to know what happened to him after 1903, where he lived, who he married, and any other information about him as a person. What did he do for al living? Was he a member of a church community somewhere? Do I have any distant relations out there somewhere?
