Looking for FELLOWES who came to New Zealand from UK via Victoria, Australia, arriving February 1855
Robert Ross Fellowes married Catherine Dunn on 21st November 1854, at the Licensed School House, St Kilda. They give their residence as Prahan. I have found a record of a Catherine Dunn on a shipping list on this site, she travelled on the ship "New Liverpool" as an Irish orphan leaving Plymouth 25th April 1849, and was employed by a Mr Roycroft at the Mechanics Institute, Melbourne, but is she the lady above. The couple arrived in Nelson NZ on the 22nd February 1855 on the vessel "Spray." On their marriage certificate they give their places of birth as, Robert: Carlisle, and Catherine: Dublin.
All attempts to trace them in the UK have been dead ends, can anyone help please!

Thanks Kim, Yes these are definitely my Great grandparents. One thread that I have states that he was born on a ship entering Liverpool, and that his father, also called Robert Ross was a soldier. My information gives Catherines birthplace as Dublin, but the shipping list for the "New Liverpool" states Tipperary. Is there any way that your source of information could help me trace them back further in the UK, or that we could prove that the Catherine mentioned is actually the one that married Robert.
Regards,
John
