From "SKETCHES OF THE BOZEMAN FAMILY" by Loraine Bozeman Walker. 1956.
This is a continuation of the work by the Reverend Joseph W, BOZEMAN, D.D. to 1885.

Howell BOZEMAN, 1780
Meady BOZEMAN, Jr.m 1784-1857
Luke BOZEMAN, abt. 1791
Colonel John BOZEMAN, 1793-1848
Sally BOZEMAN, 1795 - 1835

Meady BOZEMAN, Sr., 1745 - 1809

"In 1985, the Rev. Joseph Woodruff Bozeman, E.E., while pastor o fthe First Baptist Church of Meridian, Mississippi, completed a family history of the Bozeman Family in the United States." Rev. Bozeman was born in Lowndes County, Alabama on 1 Nov. 1833.
He was a noted educator and preacher until his death about 1900. According to is research the first BOZEMAN immigrant came from Holland or Germany about 1650, and settled either in New York or Maryland.
"There were a number of BOZEMANs in the USA duuring the time of the Revolutionary War who fought and served with the Continental Armies." This is substantiated, according to this volume, by substantial records from Halifax, Chowan, Washington, Bladen and Columbus Counties of North Carolina, 1756.
Rev. Joseph Woodruff BOZEMAN presents an unbroken chain of this family back to 1730 when Samuel BOZEMAN was born in Bladen County, North Carolina in 1750. He married Ann RICHARDSON and they had nine (9) children.
Joseph BOZEMAN (oldest of Samuel and Ann) married Miss Wood in 1784 and their son Nathan BOZEMAN was the father of a celebrated surgeon Dr. Nathan BOZEMAN of New York.

In response to the request for a copy: I appologize that I have not been able to get this done sooner. I have school full time and my mother is now in need of care and my sister has also been in need of help and medical care. I hope to be able to devote some time to this project over the first few weeks of June 2007.
Thanks.....

Hi,
I have one remaining copy. I have no idea where you might get on, but I am trying to make time to scan the pages. It will be a couple of weeks, but I would be happy to let you know when I get them done and send you a copy or link to a page you can get them.
Meanwhile, If there is something specific you need looked up, send the details you have and I will see what I can find.

I am currently in the process of scanning the pages of the Bozeman family book. I am up to page 60 which is about half of the book.
If you are interested in copies of the book on cd, please contact me. If you only wish to have a few pages emailed as an attachment, please provide specific names and dates you are looking for. If they are included in the book I will forward a jpeg scan image of the page(s) where the name appears.
Hope this helps someone out there.

Hello, Thanks for scanning this book. I just discovered I'm related to the Bozemans and can trace back to Meady Bozeman Sr's father James E Bozeman born in maryland 1715. I'm trying to find more info on Meady Bozeman Sr and Chloe Nelson. According to the dates I find she was only 10 years old when she married Meady Sr and only 11 when she had her first child Howell in 1780. I'm decended from her second child Meady jr born in 1784. I'm thinking her birth date is incorrect or nobody really knows. Thanks for the efforts, James P Thomas
