John Painter of Rutherford County, Tennessee

Journal by PamBarns

John Painter of Rutherford County, Tennessee died in 1851. I would like to know where he is buried.

John Painter married to Malinda Jacobs/Kindle -- not sure of her maiden name.
Malinda Jacobs/Kindle Painter died in Rutherford County, Tennessee. I would like to know where they are buried.
My guess is they are buried on the farm that Jacob Painter inherited from his parents.
Sons George Burton Painter and Jacob Painter died in Rutherford County, Tennessee. I would like to know where they are buried.
My ancestor, William Alexander Painter, went to Coryell County, Texas. He and Rebecca Haley Painter raised 11 children. They died in Coryell County, Texas and are buried in Coffey Cemetery.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello smith41,

Thank you for your reply.
No, I seriously doubt he is buried anywhere else besides his farm.
His daughter, Malinda Painter Stephenson, was on the 1850 mortality schedule, dying of Consumption, May 1850.
She was listed as Marenda Stephenson.

Sometime during the next 18 (+/-) months, John Painter dies.
Maybe he got sick caring for Malinda and died of Consumption or some other illness or accident.

Keep diggin'
