Abram and Freedy Phillips
Hi, my name is Joy and I am researching both mine and my husband's families. Right now I am stuck on my husband's second great grandfather Abram Phillips that was born in Prussia about 1826 and his wife Freedy who was also born in Prussia about 1830.I found them on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census. I think she died before 1880 as he was shown on the 1880 census as a widower. Their children were listed as Abraham, Jeanette, Sarah, Lewis, Isaic and David. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give. Thanks

Do you know if Freedy is short for Fredericka. In 1870 they were living in Monroe, Pulaski, Indiana which I think is about 28 miles from Fulton
Abraham Philips: Marriage 24 Mar 1858, Fulton, Indiana United States
Spouse: Fredericka Tugendreich
Thanks for the info. I thought that Freedy may have been short for another name or even a nickname.
Can anyone help me find a way to find out the approximate year they immigrated and on what ship and the port of arrival. Thanks
