Heyen of Iowa & Reepsholt, Germany 19th Cent.

Query by RK52

My maiden name was Robin Heyen and my paternal grandfather was Clarence Edward Heyen (1898-1964). Clarence lived in Langworthy, Iowa and operated a General store.

His father, who would be my great grandfather, was John Heyen born somewhere around 1866 near Reepsholt, Germany and immigrated to the States at about 18 years of age. He married Matilda Scheer and they had "4" children: Mary,Hans,Henry and Clarence. John lived in Langworthy, Iowa as well until his death in 1953. I would appreciate any "PHOTOS" of Clarence Heyen and/or his father,John Heyen, that was born in Germany. Also, I would like to know the name of the ship that John Heyen of Germany came to the States on when he was about 18 yr's of age. Did John Heyen have any siblings or relatives that immigrated over with him as well?
John Heyen (about 1866 to 1953). Any additional info on the parents of John Heyen in Germany, who would be my great, great grandparents, would be appreciated as well. -Robin
