My great grandmother was Catherine McLoughlin marrying William Whelan in Maitland in 1840 who had 2 sons, one being Owen Whelan born 1842 and died 1941.He changed his name to Eugene Conmar Owen and married Mary Eather.I would like to know more about the Whelan family.My father was a sponsor to Cyril.
