We have pieces of a news paper article describing his drowning in Jim Lake in North Dakota. Unfortunately the dates are missing as well as the name of the news paper. We are looking for exact date of drowning, news paper name, a better copy of the article , etc. Their is a photograph in the article and it is indeed him. However, the article gives his name as Carl E Peterson where we know from other documentation that his actual full name was Carl August Peterson (Carl A Peterson)

We have also looked for his death record recorded in North Dakota. He was living in Courtney ND at the time. We have not been able to find anything recorded.

The news article said he was interred in a Norwegian cemetery about 14 miles northeast of Courtney. We cannot find a photo of any grave stone or even this Norwegian Cemetery.
