W. R. Miller is listed in 1929 Honor Roll as Revolutionary War Vet, buried at West Aurora Cemetery.

Research indicates that the W. R. Miller buried at West Aurora was William R. Miller, born about 1797 NY (or possibly CT), and was a physician. No records found regarding his medical schooling, practice, etc.

Summary:
Dr. William R. Miller, born c.1797 NY; died between late 1870 and early 1880. He was residing in Kane Co., IL by 1850; was married twice, and had at least 5 children.

2nd wife: Sylvia Jane Rice, born c.1824/1829 NY; died between 12 and 17 Jan 1901, Aurora; married 11 Nov 1867 Tazewell Co., IL. (Apparent discrepancy noted in this marriage date and birth dates of children; but the children’s marriage records clearly identify their parents.)
Children of 2nd marriage:
