Hi Allycat,
John Hore was transported to Australia for his involvement in "The Great Mutiny", he came originally from County Wexford, Ireland.Date of birth possibly between 1775-1778, died 25 Apr 1862, West Dapto, NSW, Australia.Unfortunately I
can't find his parents or any Birth records as I have been told records were destroyed by a fire back in that era.

I would appreciate any help you could offer.

Regards,
hobby 252

Dear Hobby252, Welcome back. Perhaps canny rootschatters at the Ireland boards maybe able to help you. [url=http://www.rootschat.com[/url] - it's amazing what they can find sometimes.

Going by the full date of death you have, do you have his Death Certificate? My advice would be to purchase bdm certs of all of his children as sometimes there can be more clues to the puzzle.

Have you also perused the National Archives of Australia website as a guest?

Alison.

Hi Alison, Thank you for you advise. I did
have a researcher helping me but she couldn't go back any further that John Hoare.

Will let you know if I make any progress!

Do you have your tree online anywhere? GenesReunited, TribalPages etc.

A friend from school was a John Hoare (I hope still is). A solicitor in North Queensland. Father was also a judge of the Qld Supreme Court. Just goes to show that if there is a link back to the convict era, those old Brits knew how to pick the creme of society to give us a flying start here.
With I hope not a lot of difficulty, I could probably get a contact for you.
