Hi I have been looking in to him and i believe he was transported on the ship marion in 1845 to tasmania for stealing carpentry tools ( his father george was a carpenter but died 1841) and got 15 years, he was pardoned in 1849 but so far have had no luck in finding him on ships from tasmania to australia his future wife i think, arrived with her sister? in 1853 at sydney she was from drummore co tyrone ireland.
