Dear r54012, Do you have any more details than what you have supplied? (As details are rather sketchy with a common surname like MOORE). And where in Australia did they settle?

Did your Thomas Moore arrive in NSW?

I know that Thomas W was the son of John Moore and Kitty Myles and I know that he came to Port Dension( Bowen) but I can not find a shipping record for him. He came with his wife but my research shows that they had a daudgter in Ireland called Kate I can find no death for her but she does not appear to have come with them to Australia, as their second child born in Ravenswood Qld was also called Kate. They seem to have stayed around the Ravenswood area.
James and Family came into Rockhampton but I could not tell you a great deal about them as that info is second hand I had contact with one of his decentants but my PC crashed and I lost the contact details and much of what was given to me and I would dearly love to have contact again but??? The Children of Thomas and Ann are

I am interested to see what you have found out about the Moore Family history. I have just started looking into my fathers family history. My direct line is through the Matthew Moore DOB 1879 as above. He was my Paternal grandfather. His Son Roy Matthew Moore DOB 1922 was my Father. Matthew's headstone is in the Toowoomba/Drayton Cemetery in Toowoomba Queensland DOD stated is 28 July 1957. At this stage I do not have any details about the Irish background apart from what you have found out.

I fulked the Irish research. in about 1985?? I was in Ravenswood and attended a miners court hearing about reworking the tailings that are there. While waiting we got talking to a family just back from a world cruise. To make a long story short I was given an Irish contact who was only to happy to help with the research.
