David Patullo's "Craigbank" on Wildwood Rd, Bulla included part of a paddock known as Airey's, crown allotment 5B Bulla Bulla of 319 acres through which the road runs to the Martin Dillon bridge from St John's lane.

In researching Craigbank in the titles office, I had written "Application 39872 (Maurice Quinlan 1912) tells us that John Moore Cole Airey, the grantee of 5B, became Viconde De Airey of Portugal and died in Lisbon on 17-7-1893." I included this in my PATULLO journal to which I have been referring this morning and when I discovered this information, I wondered if it had previously been published. It apparently hadn't because my journal was given as the source.

Thank you also to ngairedith whose offer to help reinstate the text of THE PATULLO PIONEERS NEAR BULLA AND SOMERTON, VIC., AUST. led me to edit the journal, removing some speculation and repetition before I sent it to him. Having done this, I added some information about George, another of David's brothers and two PATULLO-GLOVER marriages that probably resulted from Patullo family visits to Mornington's blacksmith, William Alston and his wife Jane (David Patullo's daughter.) As if by magic, the text successfully submitted.
