I have collected information on Clara's brothers and sisters. Cuttings of the Venn family history.
I am searching if Clara was ever married. She lived in Rainbow,1909, Minyip 1911, Crowlands 1912, Ararat 1913-1939. Never with a partner or husband ( according to my father). There is a William Henry Lockland lived in Melbourme 1870-1940's ?? LES

So far I have only located three children born to William and Clara as mentioned above, albeit with different parents details.

Have searched the marriage records again for Australia but unable to locate a marriage for William and Clara. It appears they were never married.

I am searching for William Lockland. Some records claim he is William Lochland, or Lachlan. There are lots of documents spelt either way, confusing the facts.I have researched the Venn family, they lived in and around Mundula South Aust.

A magisterial inquiry was held at the courthouse, before Mr. Donald M'Coll, J.P., on the body of George Venn, a labourer, who was found hanging by the neck from a mallee tree, at Bangerang on Tuesday evening. Venn's clothing was saturated with blood, from veins which had been cut at each elbow A pockebook which was found in his tent contained a letter asking that a copy of the contents of the book should be sent to John Venn, Border Town, Tatiara,
South Australia He wished his brothers and sisters good bye, and stated that he was going to bleed himself to death by opening the veins of his arms, and that drink had been his ruin A verdict of death from strangulation by hanging whilst suffering from the effects of a drinking bout was returned

I am seeking information of WILLIAM LOCKLAND,also recorded as LOCHLAND , LACHLAN , LOCKLIN in 1906 .He is recorded as being married to Clara Millicent Venn of Mundala near Brodertown in 1906. One document states they were married in Mitchem S.Aust Oct 12th 1906. No official records.
I am unsure if this is accurate or covered up. Who was William Lockland or Lachlan, Locklin or Lochland .

I have been searching the death records looking for a possible death for your William LOCKLAND including similar names like LOCHLAND but have not had any luck to date. The ones I did find had second given names and were married and I have ruled them out. Its a bit like looking for the shortest straw in the haystack but will keep looking.
