hi kna,
This info may help
Auckland Star, 26 April 1884
SUDDEN DEATH
A young lady, 13 years of age, named Bertha Fripp, died suddenly at Ponsonby this morning. At an early hour she was found in bed insensible. Dr Dawson was sent for hurriedly, but arrived only to find that her death had already occurred. Dr Dawson says the cause of death is heart disease, from which deceased has suffered from her birth. It has not yet been decided whether an inquest will be held.

Auckland Star, 28 April 1884
FRICK
On April 26 1884, at Ponsonby, suddenly, of heart disease, Bertha Frick, third eldest daughter of William and Margaret Frick; aged 14 years.

Thames Advertiser, 29 April 1884
DEATH
A young girl named Bertha Freak, died suddenly from heart disease on Saturday morning at Ponsonby. On the previous evening she was in her ordinary health and had been out making some purchases, but on Saturday morning she was discovered in her bed in an unconscious condition. Dr Dawson was called in, but the girl died before his arrival. It appears that she had been subject to heart disease from her birth and Dr Dawson gives heart disease as the cause of death.
