I am researching my wife's family, the Baldocks, of Warboys, Ramsey, St. Ives, Huntingdon in Huntingdonshire. I have hit something of a wall going back into the history, with John Baldock, born in Warboys in 1715, whose wife was Sarah, born Luff. This branch of the Baldocks emmigrated to South Africa in 1877. I have their complete family history in South Africa up to the present time. But going back in time from John of 1715 I can find little verifiable history of this branch of the family. I need a kick-start from someone to get the cart moving backwards again. Can anyone help with even a snippet of information? A full history disclosure would be nice, but I'll settle for what you have, however small.
