Benjamin McGrath was apparently born in Marokopa, Waikato to Edward McGrath & Winia 'Winnie' Rika, however he is not on BDM.
He had siblings
Magdaline/Magdalen Elizabeth Bartosh was born in Ormondville, Hawkes Bay, 1 of 9/10 children of Valentine Bartosh (his ancestors were from the Czech Republic) & Louisa Gerlich/Gerlick (ancestors also from Czech Repulic)
Magdaline married Benjamin McGrath in 1924
Their children were born in the Manawatu

I have found a good amount of history on Grandmother / Bartosh link and was fortunate to travel to Frenstat town, Czech Republic last year.
