Will's name on the marriage fact is spelled "Herrod" but all of the additional information appears to be correct. He is listed in the 1920 census as living with my grandmother and their only child Sylvester Herd who was my father. I know he was a land owner but I have found no records. My brother has a copy of the deeds to the land.
