Looking for sister in Calafornia (last known)

Query by rikkismom

My name is Sharon. Several years ago, my family received a letter from a woman in California. Since then, my father has passed away and my other sister and I found that letter and believe she may be our sister. Please contact me at mwollek@rochester.rr.com if you have any information at all.

Hello Sharon, wishing you lots of luck in your search, One handy hint would be to try posting your request on as many sites as possible.
Take care though publishing your email, many sites do not show it to the public, but when someone posts a reply to you......you in turn get an automated email.

Do you know if your late Father worked in that part of the States?.
Stay strong its not going to be easy, but you may in time find what your seeking.
You are in my thoughts and prayers........Summer

Thanks so much. My dad worked for the railroad for many years. My mom said he worked in California when he was 20 and she is not sure what part. She never knew about the letter. She was not married to him at the time, he was married to his previous wife. Thankyou again for the useful advice! -Sharon

Dear Sharon, Hi there. Welcome to FamilyTreeCircles. I wish you well in your search. Perhaps another avenue of searching would be to try your local LDS history centre or logon to Familysearch.org to see if any of your UPDYKEs all spellings are on there.

Also try Surname Navigator on all your surnames in your tree. This is a genealogy search engine link.

Kind regards,
Alison downunder.
