My family tree roadblock falls at the level of my Great-Great-Grandfather, James William Stinson. He was born on 12 Dec 1823 in either Bath County, Kentucky of Decatur County, Indiana.
He married my Great-Great-Grandmother, Evaline Garner Crouch in 1851 in Bath County, Kentucky.
He died on 1 Oct 1889 in Bath County.

Using the highest levels of search on Ancestry, My Heritage, Family Search, and Newspapers.com, I am unable to find the parents of James William Stinson (1823-1889). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Additional Information:
While most Census and marriage records of children list the birthplace of James William Stinson as Kentucky or Bath County, Kentucky, at least one Census record lists his place of birth as Indiana and one marriage certificate of one of their children list his POB as being Decatur County, Indiana. When I checked with the Vital Records section of the Decatur County Department of Health I found that the birth records of Decatur County, and most of Indiana, only go back to 1888.
