Not so distant cousins
I'm at a point in my research where I have a lot of not so distant cousins (my grandparents or great grandparents first cousins) who are marked living on my family tree but statistically are probably deceased or will be soon. (1930-40s births) but we also have no contact with these people for whatever reason so it's not like I would ever be in the know if they did die.
Do you do anything other than randomly look for obits from time to time? Or do you just leave that part of your tree alone. I am half temped to set up Google alerts with their names but is that weird and stalkerish :) I also have a lot of women who I have no clue if they married/changed last name.
