Dear Larraine, Firstly, a warm welcome...

James KEOWN died aged 84 years 1903 (so born 1819) Tumut, New South Wales, Australia. Registration No. 8092/1903 Father's name not given. Mother's name not given. SOURCE: NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Possible marriages NSW Bridget EGAN and/or Mary ROSEWARN.

More information may be available from Death Certificate.

A search of the National Archives of Australia revealed no records for your James KEOWN.

Ditto for State Records Office of NSW.

But I found this, Irish Famine Orphans. Mentions marriage of a James KEOWN to Bridget EGAN in 1866, 5 children.

If you register as a free user of this site, you may be able to read the resources available for Co.Antrim and post a new topic on a lookup request for birth details of your ancestor (if not destroyed). RootsChat.com - Ireland, Antrim

Hoping that I've been of some assistance to you.

Kind regards,
Alison QLD.

PS Make sure your surnames are separated by commas at the bottom of each journal or they will be a jumbled mess. Tip: You can edit your journals.

Dear Larraine, You're welcome.

Where are you from?

You will have more joy if you post your family tree online. To keep costs down, try a website like TribalPages. It's F R E E and relatively easy to do.

Alison.
